Taraqqi Ka Tasalsul
THE PROJECT
In 2026, I led strategy and creative direction for Sheikh Kazim Ali Qazi’s election campaign at Anjuman-e-Husayniya Khawajgan Narowali, a community organisation in Lahore. The brief brought research, messaging, visual identity and production together under Taraqqi Ka Tasalsul (ترقی کا تسلسل): Continuity of Progress.
Research before a visual direction.
I began with the organisation’s history, structure, election rules and welfare work. Audience research helped shape communication for different generations within the community.
The campaign’s central idea reflected more than twelve years of service: continuity, expressed through a consistent and recognisable communication system. References from other campaigns informed clarity of communication; the visual language was developed for this community’s culture and Urdu language.
Five pillars. A clearer story.
Values established the campaign’s principles. The manifesto and Vision 2030 set out its proposed direction. Achievements documented previous welfare work through publications, summaries, podcasts and short videos.
Community education explained the organisation, its welfare activities and the election process. Responses to criticism were prepared as a separate pillar, with an emphasis on factual, respectful communication.
From direction to delivery.
Red became the distinguishing colour, supported by yellow accents, Urdu typography, structured layouts and photography. The same system connected publications, outdoor advertising, social content, video, event materials and merchandise.
Delivery involved writers, designers, photographers and volunteers. My role connected the creative direction with production so that each format felt part of one campaign.
The outcome, honestly.
The campaign did not win the election. The result is part of the case study, alongside the research, creative work and coordinated delivery.
The experience reinforced the value of clear research, consistent execution and collaboration under pressure. A visual identity is one part of a much wider relationship between an organisation and its community.
A direction people could recognise.
Manifesto and Vision 2030 publications establish the red and yellow palette, Urdu typography and central campaign message.
Built for public scale.
The visual language carries into street panels, building banners and billboards. Each placement uses the same hierarchy while adapting to its format.
Several messages. One identity.
Welfare, education, achievements and manifesto priorities are presented through a coordinated family of communication banners.
The details carry the identity.
Credentials, badges, stickers and campaign objects extend the system into events and everyday community encounters.
